“Handsome and Humane Civil War Book”

These are the words written by Pennsylvania State University’s Michael Barton in a recent review of Faces that appeared in the Spring 2006 issue of Pennsylvania History: A Journal of Mid-Atlantic Studies. I am pleased that Barton commented on the social history thread that connects the profiles.
