Faces of War - Visualizations: States from which they served

	States from which they served States served by 200 soldiers that have appeared in "Faces of War," Faces of the Civil War and Faces of the Confederacy. The total number is 207, as seven soldiers served two states. In these seven cases, each soldier started their military service in the state that they resided at the start of the Civil War, and left to serve the state in which they were born or spent their formative years. These soldiers returned to their home state at the expiration of their original term of enlistment, or to accept a commission at a higher rank.
